Dennis Winters, vice president and director of research at NorthStar Economics, Inc., has over twenty years experience in economic analysis and forecasting. He has served as an advisor to private industry, government agencies, and elected officials and has appeared on television, radio, and has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Investors Daily, and USA Today, amongst other national and international publications. Mr. Winters' areas of focus include regional and national macroeconomics, energy and labor markets and economic impact analysis.
Mr. Winters' recent work in Wisconsin includes a paper for the Wisconsin Technology Council, a background paper for the Wisconsin Economic Summit II and efforts as the principal investigator and co-author of Wisconsin's Economy in the Year 2010. He also authored Sustaining Wisconsin's Economic Prosperity, a white paper for the Wisconsin Economic Summit in November of 2000. Mr. Winters has explored the Wisconsin economic climate by spearheading several regional studies of the higher education system. He serves on the Executive Planning Committee for the Wisconsin Economic Summits, as well as Dane County's Economic Strategies Group and its Investment Capital Committee.
